Attorney Susannah A. Stinson
Susannah A. Stinson is an experienced attorney, who is Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Susannah has been AV Peer Review Rated by Martindale Hubbell since 2014, which signifies that her legal peers and the judiciary rank her at the highest level of professional excellence in legal ability and ethical standards. Since 2003, Susannah has limited her practice exclusively to family law matters and she has handled hundreds of cases and represented a wide range of clients in divorces involving complex property issues, modifications, child custody, protective orders, prenuptial agreements, paternity, and enforcement cases. From 2015 - 2020, Susannah was selected by the publishers of Thomson Reuters as a Super Lawyer. Only 5% of all lawyers achieve this designation. In 2008 and 2012, Susannah was selected by the publishers of Thomson Reuters as a “Rising Star” in the Texas Super Lawyers–Rising Stars Edition. Recipients of this award must be under forty (40) years of age or licensed less than ten (10) years and only 2.5% of the lawyers in Texas have received this designation.
Education & Professional Background
Susannah graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1993 and St. Mary’s University School of Law in 1997, where she served as an Associate Editor on the St. Mary’s Law Review. After graduating from law school, Susannah was employed as an Assistant Attorney General with the Office of the Attorney General, and served as a Staff Attorney to the Honorable John K. Dietz, 250th District Court, in Travis County, Texas. Prior to becoming a partner in the law firm of Stinson Moyle, PLLC, she operated the Law Office of Susannah A. Stinson, PLLC, for several years after gaining vast knowledge and experience from serving as an Attorney for seven (7) years with the Law Office of Becky Beaver.
Susannah frequently volunteers as an attorney and mentor with Volunteer Legal Services of Central Texas. Susannah also is a member of the Texas Academy of Family Law Specialists, the Travis County Family Law Advocates, the Austin Bar Association, the Williamson County Bar Association, the Family Law Section of the Texas Bar, the Texas Family Law Foundation, a Sustaining Member of the Travis County Women’s Law Association, and a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation. In addition, Susannah has served on the State Bar Grievance Committee, District 9 from 2016 to present, is a Board Member for Breast Cancer Resource Center and serves on the Chancellor’s Council Executive Committee for The University of Texas at Austin.
